Letter from our President

The Webster Association of Senior Program Supporters was started in August 2010 by John (Bud) Johnston with the intention of giving a neighbor a ride to a medical appointment. It has blossomed into a booming organization that has supported hundreds of seniors who live in the Webster School District.

Whenever a retiree or disabled resident is in need of a ride, they can call us and our dispatcher takes over. We drive clients to various appointments including: medical, dental, dialysis, chemotherapy, physical therapy, pharmacy visits, health related shopping, banking, hairdresser, barber and taxes.

As a 501C3 non-profit organization staffed by volunteers, the lending of a hand is enough to give them satisfaction. It gives us great pleasure to have a program that offers a sense of comfort and relief that transportation is no longer a concern. By simply calling W.S.P.S. 4 days before the day of your appointment and informing our dispatcher of the date, time and location, we take over and make it happen. Our friendly staff will greet you warmly and get you safely home.

In 2022, we completed 3142 trips (a 41% increase from 2021). We estimate this amounted to over 3035 volunteer hours (a 28% increase)and over 40,432 miles driven (a 35% increases). Donations are used for the W.S.P.S. operating budget. We are always grateful for new volunteers.

Thank you for your continued support.

Sincerely,
Mike Donovan, President W.S.P.S.
